AdaptedAny model: works from a file list and your notes, no image reading
Overview
- The problem
- “My product photos are a mess: some styles have no back shot, some colors have no photos at all, file names are random, and half my images are different sizes, so my collection pages look uneven.”
- What you get
- A photo fix-up pack for your catalog: a photo index matched to every style and color, a gap report (missing front, back, detail, on-body/flat or scale shots per style and color), a consistency check (size, crop and background against the spec you choose), a file-renaming plan in one naming scheme, a “reshoot or reuse” list sorted by your best sellers first, and alt-text drafts for the photos you keep. You do every rename, edit, upload and reshoot.
- What’s included
- Bot profile instructions
- Photo index sheet (file name, style, color, shot type, size in px, background, status)
- Shot-type checklist (front, back, side, detail, on-body or flat, scale)
- Consistency spec card (your chosen size, aspect ratio and background. Shopify’s published product-image guidance as one example)
- Gap report template
- File naming scheme + rename plan
- Reshoot / reuse list template
- Alt-text draft template (what’s in the photo, from your style facts)
- 3 starter prompts (+ full prompt set)
- Review checklist
- Platform setup notes
- Ready-made skill (SKILL.md folder + zip)
- PDF guide
- Illustrative example
- What you’ll need
- Your style list with colors (or your product register from #12)
- A list of your photo files with sizes (exported from your computer or store), and/or batches of the photos themselves
- The image spec you want (or start from the template)
- Which styles sell best (optional. Your own ranking)
- Photos you own or have rights to only
How it runs
7 steps- Install the profile. Load the style list and the photo file list
- Bot matches photos to styles and colors (from file names, and from the images where the platform reads them) and marks anything it can’t match [UNMATCHED]
- You confirm or fix every matchYour call
- Bot builds the gap report and consistency check against your spec
- Bot drafts the rename plan, the reshoot/reuse list (best sellers first) and alt-text drafts
- You rename, edit and upload photos yourself and check every alt text against the real productYour call
- Hand the reshoot list to Product Shoot Planner (#13) or your photographer
Your call marks a step where you review and decide. Nothing moves on without you.
Estimated time: ~30–60 min for a first pass on 50–200 photos.
Starter prompts
- Match my photos to my catalog
- What shots am I missing per style?
- Give me one naming scheme and a rename plan
The full prompt set is in the kit.
Sample output
Illustrative, fictional brand “Marlow & Pine”, written for this kit, not a platform test: “Gap report (12 styles, 31 colors, 148 files): Coastal Cardigan oat: front ✓ back ✓ detail ✓ on-body ✗ · Coastal Cardigan ink: no photos at all · Harbor Crew: back ✗ on every color. Consistency (your spec: square 2048 × 2048 px, white background): 23 files are 1080 × 1350 (portrait crop) → mismatched on collection pages · 6 files on a gray background. Rename: IMG_4482.jpg → mp-crd01-oat-03-detail.jpg. Reshoot first (your best sellers): Coastal Cardigan ink (all shots), Harbor Crew backs. Alt-text draft: ‘Oat merino cardigan, close-up of ribbed cuff and wooden button’ [VERIFY: button material].”
It will be replaced with real output after a test run.

House standards for this piece
All our standards- Human review gate
- You confirm every photo match, do every rename, edit, upload or reshoot yourself, and check every alt text against the real product.
- Data grounding
- Only the owner’s style list, photo files/file list with real pixel sizes, chosen spec and best-seller ranking. Shopify guidance cited as one example spec. [UNMATCHED]/[GUESS]/[VERIFY] on gaps.
- No invented results
- No “better photos convert X% more” claims.
- AI disclosure
- Audit and alt text are AI-assisted and owner-reviewed. The bot never makes or edits product imagery.
- IP & bias
- Only photos the brand owns or has licensed. No edits to product color, shape or texture. No skin or body retouching suggestions. Inclusive on-body casting noted on reshoot lists.
- Privacy
- No photos showing customers or private individuals without their permission. Strip location data before sharing files if possible.
- Approval boundary
- Never renames, edits, retouches, generates, uploads or deletes images, or changes the store.
Questions people ask
Can it fix or edit my photos?
No, on purpose. It never edits, retouches, generates or “fixes” images, so your photos always show your real product. It tells you what to reshoot, reuse or rename. You do it.
My AI tool can’t see images. Does it still work?
Yes, in file-list mode (adapted): it matches by file name and your notes, and checks sizes from your file list. It can’t see what’s in the photos, so you’ll confirm more matches yourself.
Where do the Shopify numbers come from?
From Shopify’s Help Center page “Product media types”, re-checked on October 20, 2026. They’re one example spec. If your theme or store wants something else, use that.
Will better photos sell more?
We don’t make that claim. The bot makes your library complete and consistent. Results are yours to watch.
Which AI tool should I use?
Whichever you already use. Tools that read images (ChatGPT, Claude) can match photos by what they show. Any chat tool works in file-list mode. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and the any-chat-tool route work on free plans. Grok Bot needs a paid plan that includes it: The X Subscription Premium, Super or Ultra (Plus and Free don’t include it), or an existing SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy, paid Cursor or Cursor Teams plan.
Can I use it commercially?
Yes, for your own brand. The kit is licensed for one business (you and anyone who works on your business may use it). It’s not licensed for agency or client-service use, and please don’t resell or republish it.
