Overview

The problem
“A boutique asked for my line sheet and I don’t have one. I’m not sure which styles to offer wholesale, what to charge stores, or what terms to put in writing.”
What you get
A wholesale-ready pack for one season: a wholesale-fit pick (which styles to offer stores vs keep direct), a wholesale/MSRP price check against your real costs, a line sheet draft, a one-page terms sheet with every term yours to set, a boutique pitch email plus 2 follow-ups, an order check and a simple stockist tracker.
What’s included
  • Workflow map (5 stages, owners, 3 gates)
  • Bot profile (system prompt, knowledge and setup, guardrails)
  • Wholesale-fit rubric
  • Line sheet workbook (.xlsx: settings, price check with fit scores, auto line sheet, terms with a can-I-honor-this check)
  • Orders and stockists workbook (.xlsx: order form with case-size and minimum checks, order log, stockist tracker)

  • Pitch email prompts (W1–W3)
  • Stockist tracker template

How it runs

7 steps
  1. Load your style list, costs and retail prices
  2. Bot scores wholesale fit and runs the price check
  3. You pick the styles and set every priceYour call
  4. Bot drafts the line sheet and terms sheet
  5. You confirm every term is one you can honorYour call
  6. Bot drafts a pitch for each boutique you chose
  7. You send pitches yourself and log repliesYour call

Your call marks a step where you review and decide. Nothing moves on without you.

Estimated time: ~60–90 min for a first line sheet of 6–15 styles. ~30 min next season.

Starter prompts

  1. Score my styles for wholesale fit
  2. Draft my line sheet and terms from these choices
  3. Write a short pitch to {boutique} for my {season} line

Fill in the parts in braces. The full prompt set is in the kit.

Sample output

Coastal Cardigan (oat, XS–XL): retail $148 ÷ 2 (Jess’s divisor) = wholesale $74 · unit cost $41 → margin $33 (44.6%) · case 6 per color · Fit: GOOD. Linen Wrap Skirt: retail $96 → wholesale $48 · unit cost $39 → margin $9 (18.8%) · Fit: WEAK, below your 40% minimum: keep direct-to-consumer or re-cost. Terms draft: opening order [SET], reorder minimum [SET], payment [SET], delivery window [SET start–end], cancellation date [SET], returns [SET].

Fictional numbers. Produced by a manual walk-through of the prompts, not a platform test. It will be replaced with real output after a test run.

Any chat model (file/CSV support preferred). Spreadsheet (Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers). Doc or PDF export. Your own email for pitches. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and any-chat-tool setups work on free plans. Grok Bot needs a paid plan that includes it (beta). Optional: a wholesale marketplace account, which the kit never connects to.

House standards for this piece

All our standards
Human review gate
You set every wholesale price, MSRP and term, and you approve and send every pitch yourself.
Data grounding
Only your own style list, costs, retail prices, photos and production limits. Keystone is shown as Faire’s guidance, not a rule. Gaps are marked [SET], [VERIFY] or [MISSING].
No invented results
No promises of stockists or reorders. Faire’s figures stay cited as Faire’s guidance, never as our results.
AI disclosure
Line sheet, terms and pitch drafts are AI-assisted and reviewed by you.
IP & bias
Use only photos you own. Don’t copy another brand’s line sheet or terms. No misleading origin, material or sustainability claims.
Privacy
Only public boutique info (shop name, a published buyer email). Never paste private contact lists or retailer financials. No scraping.
Approval boundary
Never sends email, submits to marketplaces, accepts orders, sets prices live or signs terms. Terms are drafts, not legal advice.

Questions people ask

What should I charge boutiques?

That’s your call, and the kit never decides it for you. Faire’s blog calls keystone pricing (wholesale = retail ÷ 2) “the most common approach” and describes other methods too. Pick a starting divisor, check the margin against your real costs, and set every final price yourself at Gate A.

What terms should I offer?

Only terms you can honor. The terms sheet leaves every term as [SET] for you to fill in, and the bot won’t suggest “standard” values. It’s a draft, not legal advice: check local law, and get advice if you need it, before you use it.

Will it find boutiques or send my pitches?

No. You choose the boutiques, using public information only, and you send every pitch and follow-up from your own email.

Which AI tool should I use?

Whichever you already use. ChatGPT (with a Project), Claude (with a Project or skill), Gemini (with a skill), Grok Bot or any chat tool are all marked compatible: they should work, but we haven’t completed verified test runs yet. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and the any-chat-tool route work on free plans. Grok Bot needs a paid plan that includes it: The X Subscription Premium or higher, or an existing SuperGrok or paid Cursor plan.

Do I need a wholesale marketplace?

No. If you use one, the kit never connects to it. Check its own pricing rules on its help pages.

Can I use it commercially?

Yes, for your own brand. The kit is licensed for one business (you and anyone who works on your business may use it). It’s not licensed for agency or client-service use, and please don’t resell or republish it.
