How it runs
7 steps- Describe or upload the sketch
- Bot asks clarifying questions
- It drafts section by section
- Unknowns are marked [MISSING] / [CONFIRM WITH FACTORY]
- You review and approve each sectionYour call
- A pattern maker or factory validates constructability and tolerancesYour call
- Revise after the proto sample
Your call marks a step where you review and decide. Nothing moves on without you.
Estimated time: ~60–90 min for the first draft.
Starter prompts
- Start a tech pack for this {garment}
- List the points of measure for {garment}
- What should I ask my factory before sampling?
Fill in the parts in braces. The full prompt set is in the kit.
Sample output
POM: Chest ½ (set distance below armhole, to agree with mill): 20 in base M, tol ±½ in (used by a previous factory) [CONFIRM WITH FACTORY]. Construction: 1x1 rib cuffs, linked, not cut-and-sew. Factory Q: ‘What’s your MOQ for 12-gauge extra-fine merino in two colorways?’
Invented measurements. Produced by a manual walk-through of the prompt, not a platform test. It will be replaced with real output after a test run.

We ran it ourselves on this tool. Shows the date and model of the run.
No piece carries this yet. Tested means we have run it ourselves. We update the label as each piece is tested.
Built to run on this tool. Not yet confirmed by our own test run.
Works with a limit we name.
Tools required
Chat model (one that reads images helps for sketches). The ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and any-chat-tool setups work on free tiers. Grok Bot needs a SuperGrok or Cursor plan (beta). Docs/Sheets optional. Adobe Illustrator optional for flats.
House standards for this piece
All our standards- Human review gate
- You review each section. A pattern maker or factory validates constructability and tolerances before sampling.
- Data grounding
- Only your inputs and factory-confirmed specs. Unknowns are flagged, never guessed.
- No invented results
- No “first sample right” promise.
- AI disclosure
- An internal production document. Say it was AI-assisted and checked by you if your factory asks.
- IP & bias
- Designs must be your own. No reproducing another brand’s protected design. Inclusive size range.
- Privacy
- No other parties’ supplier pricing. Keep factory contracts out.
- Approval boundary
- Never contacts factories, requests or accepts quotes, places orders or pays.
Questions people ask
Do I need to be technical?
No. The bot explains every term in plain words, and “I don’t know” is always an acceptable answer.
Which AI tool should I use?
Whichever you already use. ChatGPT (with a Project), Claude (with a Project or skill), Gemini (with a skill), Grok Bot or any chat tool are all marked compatible: they should work, but we haven’t completed verified test runs yet. A tool that can read images helps with sketches. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and the any-chat-tool route work on free plans. Grok Bot needs a SuperGrok or Cursor plan.
Can it give me the measurements?
No, on purpose. It tells you which points to measure and how. The values come from you, a garment you love, or your pattern maker. Tolerances and grading come from your factory.
Is the draft ready to send to a factory?
It’s ready for a pattern maker or factory to review. They validate constructability, measurements and tolerances before sampling.
Will my first sample be right?
We can’t promise that. A clearer tech pack means fewer open questions, but samples always need checking.
Can it redraw my sketch?
No. Use your own flats. Some tools can read your sketch. None of the setups here generate production flats.
Can I use it commercially?
Yes. Your tech packs are yours. The license covers one business. Please don’t resell or republish it.
