Overview
- The problem
- “Shoppers are asking AI assistants what to buy, and I have no idea whether my brand shows up or what they say about it.”
- What you get

How it runs
7 steps- Build 20–30 shopper queries and approve the setYour call
- Run them yourself in each assistant and log the answers (same day, fresh or logged-out session)
- Score presence, accuracy and sources cited
- Map gaps to product data (fit, fabric, care, price, reviews)
- You review the findingsYour call
- Prioritize and approve fixes. You make every changeYour call
- Re-run the same queries in 60–90 days
Your call marks a step where you review and decide. Nothing moves on without you.
Estimated time: ~2–3 hrs for the first audit.
Starter prompts
- Build 25 shopper queries for {brand} in {category}
- Score these assistant answers for accuracy against my product pages
- Turn these gaps into a fix plan
Fill in the parts in braces. The full prompt set is in the kit.
Sample output
Query ‘best merino cardigan for travel under $200’: Marlow & Pine not mentioned (Assistant A). Competitor described with fabric weight and care. Gap: our product pages list neither. Fix: add fabric weight and care to the 3 hero pages. Weight from your spec sheet, care from the label.
Invented assistant answers (labeled Assistant A/B/C, not real product outputs). Produced by a manual walk-through of the prompt, not a platform test. It will be replaced with real output after a test run.

Questions people ask
Do I need to be technical?
No. You’ll copy questions into AI assistants and paste the answers back. The assistant does the scoring.
Which AI tool should I use for the audit assistant?
Whichever you already use. ChatGPT (with a Project), Claude (with a Project or skill), Gemini (with a skill) and Grok Bot are marked compatible. Any chat tool is adapted (you’ll paste the files each time). None have had verified test runs yet. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and the any-chat-tool route work on free plans. Grok Bot needs a SuperGrok or Cursor plan.
Which assistants should I audit?
The ones your customers use. You’ll need access to each one. Logged-out access is fine where the assistant allows it.
Will fixing my pages get me into AI answers?
We can’t promise that, and nobody honestly can. AI answers vary and change. Accurate, complete facts on your own pages are the part you control.
Why can’t the assistant just run the questions for me?
Because answers from a tool with these instructions, or from an agent’s browser, may differ from what a shopper sees. Running them yourself in a fresh session gives a cleaner snapshot.
How often should I re-run?
Every 60–90 days is a reasonable rhythm, or after big changes to your pages. Always use the same query set.
Can I use it commercially?
Yes, for your own brand. The license covers one business. Please don’t resell it or run it as a service for other businesses.
